Am I right in thinking that a timelord can only regenerate a certain number of times or am I just getting confused with something else?

no you are right in timelord life they can regenerate only 13times however the master has managed to find a way to cheat this by absorbing other peoples bodies to allow him to regenerate more times so far the dr has regenerated 10 times

so he will come back the same

Actually, this isn't necessaily true (unless this happened in the old series). The story of Season 3 went that the Master died, using up all of his regenerations. The Timelord Council then revived him with a fresh set of 12 lives during the Time War, as The Master and The Doctor were the cleverest and most powerful Timelords. Therefore, the timelords believed that their best shot at defeating the Daleks was to revive the Master. Howver, he got scared from seeing the Timelords killed by the Daleks, so he retreated in his TARDIS to the edge of the Universe and became a human to disguise his identity as a Timelord. And that's where the Doctor found him.
To do with David Tennant, he's commissioned for the 3 specials next year, but he can't regenerate into himself. Which is puzzling. I'm thinking, he'll regenerate into someone else to defeat Davros, but then the process is somehow reversed. |

i have a funny feeling he will regenrate in to the master and then the master gets hurt somehow and regenrates back to the doctor we all love bringing his
regeneration count to 13
but thats just a rough guess

yeah theres some rumours on the net that david tennant will regenerate for a short time into the master to defeat the daleks so could see a repris of the master in his current form

just realised no ones posted up about the last episode!!!!!
OMFG what an awesome finale how many timelords did they want!!! its a shame about them basically killin donna off i thought she was a really good character
but the question is what has happened to davros did he survive or not??

To be honest, I didn't like Donna that much. Her Grandad would have been a better companion for the Doctor.
And, Davros probably did die. Thing is, Davros has "died" in every one of his Doctor Who appearances. He always seems to come back somehow. So, we just have to wait for his next one. |

the episode wasn't great it was ok but it could of been better
osterhagen = earthsgone it was an anagram
the german daleks were funny
obv the next series will be awesome we will see the following
the dr's no companion that woman from the library u know the 1 with the sonic screw driver
we get to see doctor and doctors daughter do a team up
the return of davros maybe
the master may make an appreance
did u also read about torchwood
martha and micky will be the new team members replacing the asian girl and the dude who died in the chemical plant

davros hasnt died, becoz they only really die in doctor who if they are killed on screen, its the same with horror films
and i agree, donna wasn't a very good character, but then again, some good jokes were used in the series, such as the spartacus one
but yh, i can believe that mickey and martha replace the two dead people (Toshiko and Owen btw, i loved those two series) but Owen will make another appearance, coz, like davros, he didnt die onscreen, plus the actor sed he would make a return
