YGO Tournaments at Birmingham UniversityHi all .
As some of you may know, I have started my first year studying Maths at Birmingham University. Now, I have discovered that the University has its own TCG society. It's a society dedicated to, well, Trading Card Games . They're very new and currently only majorly play Magic The Gathering and (primarily) World of Warcraft. They also hold premier events for the World of Warcraft TCG. This gave me an idea.
I have been talking to the chairperson of their committee and she has said that the society would very much like to expand their knowledge of other games. Bearing this in mind, she would like to allow me to run the odd YGO tournament at the University. This would however dpeend on the turnout for the event. This could in the future become a more regular event depending on the popularity.
Essentially, this would most likely be a Hobby League style event, depending on how much profit I reckon we could make from the turnout. Regular entry fee (like £3-5, depending again on turnout) and fairly easy access. The University has its own Train Station which is 2 stops away from New Street (and on the same line as Worcester I believe).
So, to ascertain turnout figures, who on the forums would be interested in coming if I was able to start this up? It would be on a Saturday most likely and not conflicting with Sutton or Worcester (to, once again, increase turnout). Post here and let me know. I will also post something like this on Ukaypro once I've gotten a more definitive answer from the TCG society.
