Well, I have a number of favourite songs. I believe a song has to have that extra spark that gives it a sense of drama. A song that can begin at a set pace and then build up to a dramatic climax and that climax can give you that little extra spark that takes a song just that bit farther...
To name a few of my favourites:
Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol (words cannot describe how brilliant this song is...)
Run - Snow Patrol (same again, and is SOOOO much better than the shite Leona Lewis version...)
Bring me to Life - Evanescence (just fantastic, brilliant music and I can't find any kind of fault with it)
Can I Play With Madness - Iron Maiden (best metal band in the world and IMO, their best song)
Sweet Child Of Mine - Guns 'N' Roses (same again, best rock band in the world and their best song by far)
I have a whole playlist of songs that I can compare to the same level of quality as these, so won't name any more...  I can't pick just 1 song.
