USA National Championship

Quote:
It’s all over, and the United States has a brand new National Champion! A record-breaking 1205 Duelists competed this weekend in the biggest tournament we’ve ever seen in North America, and after sixteen rounds of competition across two days of Dueling, we have our winner! Kris Ferber has dominated with his first-ever big finish at a major Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME tournament. What better way to make his debut, than to capture the National Championship!

This weekend’s tournament featured the four biggest Decks many were expecting to see: Synchro Cat, Blackwings, Lightsworn, and Gladiator Beasts were all represented in the Top 4 playoffs, and those final four competitors were a great example of this tournament. Splashed amongst the big four were everything from Chaos-End Master Decks and Plant Skill Drain builds to Dragons and beyond. It was a huge weekend with plenty of cool innovation, but at the end of the tournament Synchro Cat stands supreme!

Now, four American Duelists will head to Tokyo in August to represent the United States at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME World Championship! Lightsworn Duelist Ryan Newburn, Blackwing Duelist Roy St. Clair, Gladiator Beast Duelist Michael Kohanim, and our Synchro Cat Champion Kris Ferber will now have to team up to take on Duelists from across the globe. The United States has never won the World Championship – now, these four Duelists will look to change that.

In the mean time, congratulations to the hundreds upon hundreds of Duelists who made this the record-breaking event it was, and special kudos are reserved for Kris Ferber, your new U.S. National Champion!
