Saturday 20th Tourney Report.Pretty good tourney today. Here's my report for the day.
1st match: Vs. Sam (Zombies)
Both playing Zombie Swarm, so it was interesting. However, in both games I was able to swarm the field faster. I played fairly defensively until he used up all of his resources and then built up a big enough swarm to OTK him.
2nd match: Vs. Dean (Plasma Control)
Well, MANTIS wasn't on my side today. Sam, Dean, Craig. No fair  . Anyway, this was a hard fought duel on both sides. First game, I played fairly well and was able to get a big swarm before he could get anything to fight back with. Second game was more even. He summoned Plasma using 3 Goats fairly early in the match, forcing me to defend. I was defending myself with ONE Goblin Zombie, continually reviving him through Mezukis, Zombie Master, etc... I drew pretty much ONLY Monsters for a large portion of the duel and was waiting for a spell card to kill Plasma with (he absorbed my Ryu Kokki). Eventually I got Book of Moon and I flipped him face down, allowing me to swarm the field and get an OTK. 2-0, but not the easiest of matches.
3rd match: Vs. Craig (Glad Beasts)
Well, not much to say here. Craig's Gladiators were built to perfection, and there was pretty much nothing I could do. Both games were over in a matter of minutes. Quick loss .
4th match: Vs. James (Volcanic Burn)
Duelling James is always great fun and a pleasure. Game 1 I was forced to play very fast. He got out Solar Flare Dragon on his first turn, and blocked my attacks until his next turn when he summoned another one. Before I knew it, he got me to around 3000 LP with only a couple of effects, and if I didn't do something quickly, I'd lose. I topdecked Book of Moon, flipped down one of his Solar Flares so I could attack through. Although I swarmed, he got LLAB and it wasn't long before I was losing again, but managed to get a lucky topdeck and eventually win. Game 2 was more easy for me. I got Royal Decree on first turn, so all his traps were useless. A well timed Scattershot destroyed the swarm that I'd built up and backed me into a corner, but I came out on top. Very nicely played.
5th match: Vs. ???? (Standard Burn, can't remember name, sorry...)
I'm afraid this was considerably easier than James' burn. I controlled both games and won fairly easily. Nothing outstanding though.
4-1 for me, so top-8. And, I'm paired against Dean again .
Top-8 Match: Vs. Dean
Well, by the end of this match, I can quite safely say that I was sick and tired of seeing so many Plasmas. I won the first game after at least 25 minutes of defending against his Plasma + Herald of Creation, by continually reviving Goblin Zombies and Pyramid Turtles. However, using some nice plays with his Darklord Zerato, Dean quite quickly and easily won both of the following games and got his own back for earlier.
Pros:
1. Got top-8 again, deck worked fairly well with Decrees over a standard trap lineup.
2. Got me 2 Burials and an Allure. Awesome haul. Only after 1 more Allure to finish the deck.
3. Listening to Dragonforce's new album on the way over 
Cons:
1. Lost (obviously...)
2. James scoring higher than me .
3. Waiting for TOO long for a bus when I have a bad back...
Awesome tourney. Great for first sanctioned!

he makes a fair few misplays during out games forgeting to search with stratos and arma knight and not counting his warrior in grave before playing rota i advice him on some moves and how i would of done thnigs after i 2-0 him

i play craig
were both 4-0 so we play to see who will go 5-0 even though we both get top 8 anyway
game 1 he uses a storm on as set mst even though he knows i run a heavy trap based deck i told him to keep it but i end up setting like 4 cards with stardust out and he loses
game 2
hes topping i have a goyo ( now known as pojo) on the field and i just attacked over his gyzarus i have goats set and storm since 90% of the time i always set a storm i end after special summoning gyzarus via pojo
he draws laqurai and has an enemy set
he summons laquari and i look at goats a move i always do when i have a card set on the back row and its either uesless or im baiting out cards i thnik he thinks im gonna bottomless traphole it so he plays an enemy to take control of the gyzarus he then realizes that pojo has 2800 attack to gyzarus 2400 he then realizes he has made an error and ends giving me the gyzarus back what he should of done was ( summon laquari play enemy controller offer it to take control of pojo attack the gyzarus and special summon it to his side of the field to destroy my 2 set spell cards or destroy 1 spell and the pojo ) he ends i draw wing blast and have the game secure i attack for lots of damege set the blast and end i show him the blast and he scoops

james like landstar said it is always great to play james i open with 3 malicious game 1 landstar saw my hand XD i let him burn me a while
best move he made i have a clear field he summon volcanic slicer and without attack to cause more damege he uses its effect to burn me 500 XD
anyhow game 1 i win with ease he did get me fairly low on lp but hey i dont care about life points no more lol
game 2 i drop 2 dads on him and he says in a low voice oh how i hate Dark monsters even though he runs sangan XD
finals

game 1 i get god d draw mally 2 teleports i end up with a stardust and archruler and 2 solemn set he cant win
game 2
i set a spell mst i think and end he summons darius ad test tigers in to bestari attacks and gets laquari i draw i have a bad hand and set 2 solemn
he summons prisma drops bestari and contacts he summons gyzarus i solemn he end i get STRATOS my savior i get a mally and d draw and draw allure and teleport i eventually get a star dust out and do some damege he keeps setting i end phase goats and summon plasma he now cannot win unless he is holding 1 smash and 1 soul taker i end up taking the match 2-0

WELL THIS WAS OUR 1ST SANCTIONED TOURNY IT COULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER TURN OUT BUT HEY, this was a pretty competitive tourny with alot of evenly matched games
anyway there were no real suprises with STU winning yet again 
good performences from james saw him yet again top8 (well actually top4)
it was good to have an old face return being SEAN hope you enjoyed it and welcome, after losing his 1st 2 matches he stormed through to the last 8 with 3 straight wins

Was a good day, Didn't manage to finish the GB deck until I traded there, so brought my DAD deck just incase.
Managed to trade/buy what cards I needed to make the GB deck viable for the tourney and hastily swapped and changed the card line-up.
Again, my only loss is to Stu during the rounds and again the Final.
2 Tournaments and 2 finals, woot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
