There will be judge compensation in the form of Upper Deck booster products - this extends to Yu-Gi-Oh!, World of Warcraft TCG, World of Warcraft Minis and the new Huntik TCG.
Hotel for two nights will be available for volunteers as well.
We are also working on having a judging training/discussion session on the Friday 24th of April.
If there is enough demand will be a standard seminar and an advanced seminar.

Nationals List of Side Events:

At Sheffield we will be offering all sorts of events for Yu-Gi-Oh! players, competitive and casual, new and experienced or even if you are just looking to have some fun and maybe win a few booster packs.
Please check back for a full time schedule but for the meantime we can announce that we have the following side events planned.
On both days we will have a Structure Deck Challenge – each player who plays will receive a randomly selected Structure Deck to play with! The winners of the Challenge will win a bundle of Yu-Gi-Oh! structure decks!
Also on the Saturday we have the Parents Cup – an event only for the parents! If you are taking someone along for the Dragon Duel or want to take an interest in Yu-Gi-Oh! as well then this is the event for you!
We will be running win-a-box tournaments both days as well with prizes for everyone who participates.
Each day there will be 3 *featured* side events giving out booster prizes from current sets!
Highlander Tournament – This is a special constructed tournament where players can only have one of each card in their deck! “There can be only one!”
Traditional Tournament – Play with the most powerful cards ever. This will be a normal constructed tournament following the traditional restriction list. Cards such as Raigeki and Chaos Emperor Dragon were so powerful that they had to be Forbidden from normal tournaments but now you can play with them.
Pharaoh Puzzle – A special brand new knockout tournament where every player who enters receives a single booster pack to play with. That’s not all, when a player wins he will receive his opponent’s booster pack and play with that too! This continues on until there are only 2 players left with the most powerful decks. Winner takes all!
Megabanned Challenge – A special constructed tournament. Decks cannot contain any Forbidden, Limited or Semi-Limited cards. Every card that you can play you can play three of! This was very popular at least year’s National tournament and we hope to see more of the same this year.
Tag Team Event – Standard tag team tournament.
Creature Feature – A special constructed tournament. Players can only play with one monster type! Create a deck that only has Beast monsters or Spellcasters. Who’s better? Machines or Warriors? Choose your favourite and see how far you can go! |
