Very well done guys. Sounds like a great day. However, I'm just really surprised that Tits qualified... I mean, come on... I played him yesterday and he was just awful.

What as the Turn out like? Seems like a variety of decks being played. How many people were there?

was a small venue so around 40 ppl and they turned a fair few people away it was a really wide selection of decks most popular was gb, lightsworn seem out of favour with most ppl that were there, zombie and plant looked strong
there was also a really good assault mode deck which seemed to be kicking ass being used by some chinese bloke (name was ding or something like that) it was one of 2 decks togo 5-1 the other bein gb, he proved they are competitive so i would'nt be suprised if you see a few at the nats

first game: drew wulfs, necros kept a monster reinc for 10 turns stalling him then had to use it for a lumina and milled 2 jds enough to put you off playing lightsworn game took ages
heard judge call 3 minutes
so game 2 i went all out killed him in 2 mins played like a maniac
game 3 i reckoned must be a minute left, hit him for 5000 LP left myself with a celestia in hand
then the judge called 15 mins what an amateur

game 2: killed him quick
game 3: on a knife edge, JD settled it

so expecting drawing each other

game 1: i think i won it can't remember
game 2 i sided royal decrees didn't work against GB's now i know
anyway we played a third game and this time i sided cold waves instead of the decrees and muscled through
but mike's a class player, i have to draw good against him or he kicks my ass

game 1: i got better cards than him, good to see him mill loads of tech
finish him with JD lum wulf
game 2 he sided i think 6, i sided just brain control
this was close all the way, i kept cards and necro in grave but lost like 5000 LP a long the way, then when i had him i made a mistake, i had double JD and honest and lumina in hand and a necro in grave, i hit him with JD but kept the second JD back, i thought he had one in hand. Played too cautious, if i had of played double JD he would have been down to 900 LP and could not have used his JDs effect, anyway you learn lessons this way and he was good
game 3 i left my deck as it was, i was getting great cards
i opened usual for a few turns milled lots and was ready for JD while he played really low key, i should have guessed, i thought it was strange to slow down unless he had no cards of use, he set a monster face down, and 2 S/T
anyway turn 3 i tribute for celestia, he activated crush and i flipped card of safe return killing his crush, he chained bottomless trap hole and killed celestia
i thought i had him i played JD lumina and got wulf and attacked but he had a necro and was left on 50 LP i had 7 cards left in deck, milled 7 and decked out next turn
this last duel taught me the most, will be better next time

I had an amazing tournament, I ran Gladiator Beasts with 2 Gladiator Beast Proving Ground and 3 Cold Wave.
Round 1: Me vs Mike (Plants)
Game 1: He gets Tytannial out first turn so I use up my Mumillo with Test Tiger to destroy it, losing my Mumillo in the process. But end up taking the game with Cold Wave followed by Rescue Cat.
Game 2: I drop a Quick Rescue Cat and its all over.

Round 2: Me vs ?? (Light Dragons with Honests)
Game 1: Drew into Monk droping Cold Wave for Prisma, turning it into Bestiari tagging it in with Test TIger for Darius getting Bestiari then tagging in for Gyzarus and he had no way from coming back from that, you should of saw his face as he said "Bloody Gladiator Beasts" lol!!!!
Game 2: KIlled him with the brute force of Laquari and Darius then finish him off with a 2nd turn Heraklinos.

Round 3: Me vs Buffalo (Gladiator Beast)
Game 1: Draw an awful hand on drawing Bestiari which I summoned and he Bottomlessed so I scopped and went onto the next game
Game 2: An incredibly close duel with Buffalo ending up on 600 Life Points due to 3 Solemns, using 2 to stop a Rescue Cat and a special summon of Test Tiger while I had Darius on the field and Bestiari in the grave

We then went down the road to the chippy and had some food then got back to do some dueling!!!
Round 4: Me vs ?? (Running Fish Synchro OTK)
Game 1: Lost because when I used Chariot on Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth, then next turn attack with Mumillo, I forgot to tag out for Equeste to get Chariot back and of course next turn he drops Phantom of Chaos
Game 2: Yet another misplay by me, he floods the field first turn fetching Stardust Dragon and Dark Dive Bomber, then I monster reborned his Royal Swamp Eel then synchronising it with my Mumillo for Black Rose Dragon when I should of picked Dark Strike Fighter!!!

Round 5: Me vs A Stupid beeping yank (Plants)
Game 1: He owns me with Botanical Lion and Black Garden
Game 2: An incredibly intense game but my 2 Sided In Thunderkings and Retiari see me through
Game 3: This was other in an instant with a 2nd turn Heraklinos.

Round 6: Me vs David (Plants Again)
Game 1: I get hit hard by his 1st turn Tytannial
Game 2: My Thunderking and Retiari do there job as Gyzarus finished him off.
Game 3: Over very quickly as I take control of the game with Retiari and 2 Sucsessive Gyzarus.
I progress to the Top 8  !!!!
Top 8: Me vs A Chinese Player (Gladiator Beast)
Game 1: I take the game easily with a first turn Rescue Cat
Game 2: I come really close but he won due to me drawing nothing but monster and him drawing only spells and traps till he top decks Rescue Cat.
Game 3: He takes the game quickly as he removes 1 of my Samnites and my Bestiari
Pros:
*Getting into the Top 8.
*The Prize Support which was amazing, I got 8 Packs of Crimson Crisis, a pack of Champion Pack 8 and 2 Parellel Rares just for getting Top 8.
* Getting some great trades including Super Mind Crush and D-Draw
* Getting 10 Champion Pack 8's for only £12!!!!
Cons:
*Missing the last train and having to get a lift with Tom's Sister
