well

friday night after going straight from work to nandos im full of food

go home and rest then decided to resleeve my deck and side alternate the deck slightly and i pack in up and go sleep early since by this time i had been up since 6am

i have a 14 hour sleep

(also like to add getting a good night sleep before a tournament is really good for you)

i wake up about 7am and get a phone call from andrew (diggy) and our m8 jack they tell me there gonna go head sutton top1 qualifer to help our m8 sam ( who took my udefeated streak away from me at the last worcester tourny i attended) so they call and tell me i get up check my email and then have a nice bath (also a good thing before a tournament)

i get washed and showered and watch hostel (ewwwwww) anyway make my way on my local bus to birmingham traffic is bad so get in town about 12pm and take the 5 min walk to the venue

i sign up since i was defending champion i get in half price i go over to andrew and i readust my side deck and do a few trades

round 1

this guy attendeds the local borders meeting every other sunday great guy and very pleasent i slowly beat him down game 1 with krebons and then synchro for colossal and drop 2 dads for game

game 2 he attacks with a goyo in with i drop gorz i then next turn tribute the token for caius and remove his face up tomato i the teleport for krepbns then synchro for colossal and proceed to drop 2 dad

i cant remober this i win

round 3

i play a guy running GB semi ok build but could of been better

game 1 he makes so many misplays and i sweep him

game 2 he sides mirrors and tag for gyzarus teying to kill my krebons and face downs/t i point out that shadow mirro is out and he kicks himself he attcks i mirro he ends i draw summon breaker and sync with krebons then drop dad and attack for lots

he tops a monster and ends i draw giant trunade and smash him

round 4

i play landstar

game 1 i win fairly fast thanks for the nice hand

game 2 he has 2 goyo 2 stardust and a colossal fighter i somehow get colossal fighter out and he has no outs bar mirror force to kill it i kill 2 stardusts he then attacks my colossal with his colossal for lolz and i mirror he then mirros mie and attacks with a zombie master taking away the last of my life points

game 2

it goes to time

he goes 1st and sets a monster i draw i get red dragon archfiend out i see a slight frounge from andy seeming he set a reaper i get another goyo out and special summon dark grepher red dragon attcks flipping reaper but killing it i made a perfect read and attack with everything else on turn 3 giving me the game

best game all day imo i had nice 1 andy

some indian guy

its over fairly quickly here i get amazing hands

i top swiss again

i get dad out and nuke his back field i summoner grepher and nuke more of his back field after dumping more darks via grepher
i attakc his face down reaper and he holds on with reaper for a while since i didnt draw any darks i eventully draw a rota and rota for diamond dude and dump it to dump plague spreader and nuke his field and kill him

game 2 same as above

finals

i did wanna play andrew but he lost to the dude playing GB

game 1 i get a sick hand and win like tourn 2

game 2 i side thunder kings in and he cant do nothing i win

i now have to face the winner of the juniors for the big prize

he wins the roll and sets 2 s/t and ends i summon stratos to with he solemns i then monster reborn it and he solemns i end setting a torrential tribute he draws and summons stratos to fetch mally he plays teleport and i torrential he ends with 1 set s/t i drow and special summon dark drepher he bottomless it i remove mally for antoher and show him teleport hes on 2000 and he scoops

game 2

i summon diamond dude and hit a destiny draw i set PWWB and end

he draws d draws a mally and removes it to special summon another i [wwb it discarding my own mally and he ends i draw for my turn get another 2 cards with my free d draw use dudes effect and hit heavy storm i summon krebons hit with krebons and dude for 2600 and end he draws sets 2 s/ts summons kreobns and ends i draw activate my free storn he cians solmen but since its used via dudes effect he could not solemn a mistake he didnt think of i tribute both for gorz lmao and special summon 2 dad for game and kill him

i win again

Yup, was a good day. Can't remember the details of the swiss round, and my right arm is now in a sling... so I'm typing with 1 hand essentially. Only really good game was against Stu in round 4. Lost to a poorly built gb deck in top-4, due to awful hands on my part and also to turn 3/4 Herks on his part.

Pros:
-Won me 2 HLs, Asura Priest and NoC.
-Traded for a third Solar Recharge.
-Gave Stu his only game loss of the day, first game won against him for a long time...
-2nd in swiss getting me 3rd overall

Cons:
-Stu getting his third DAD. I was offering MORE for it, and Stu just went and offered a JD for it and the stupid kid accepted Crying or Very sad

-Losing to a relative noob...
