3rd october reportswell a really good turn out 18 people turned up i quickly changed my blackwing adding 2 vayu and a elphin before the start

bye - but elliot entered late so i played him anyway and ive gotta say his alien deck is awesome
round 2
vs luke perczyk (zombie)
game 1 turn 2 i get armor master, stardust, sirocco on field with 2 kalut in hand attack his zombie master with armor master drop 2 kalut doin 3500lp damage then finished him with stardust and sirocco, game 2 he gets me down to 200lp very quickly but i manage to summon goyo guardian and slowly beat him down

vs craig beasley (zombie)
game 1 all i can say i otk him 2 mins after we start elphin,bora,shura,goyo( i think) with kalut in hand, game 2 im goin well but he double synchros for doomkaiser dragon and goyo guardian but unlucky for him i have a set icarus attack for game

well as usual very close he wins 2-1

vs luke delaney (zombie)
i win 2-0 good game

well its an all team tricky semi so we both mess around i win 2-0

again a really close match advantage kept changing hands but stu won 2-1

Leave home at 9.30 and see Tim on the way so we give him a lift down. So I arrive and by 2 boosters and pull Jank and did some duels against a newbie, give him a Battered Solemn and Bottomless for his deck.
So after a couple of trades, the tournament starts:
Round 1: Me (Gladiator Beast) vs Andrew Bird (Spellcasters)
Game 1, I start of with a bad hand but battle back thanks to multiple Murmillos for the game. Game 2, I got Gyzarus out 3 times for the game.

Round 2: Me vs Craig (Zombie Vayu Turbo)
Wasn't looking forward to this duel but Game 1 was incredibly close with Ancient Forest holding him back until Heavy Storm. Game 2, I start of with a Kycoo which he manages to get rid of 2 turns later. So the game goes to and frow until I Call of the Haunted Kycoo and think I'm on top of it with a My Body As A Shield down but he tops Mystical Space Typhoon!

Round 3: Me vs Luke (Not the Solo Shonobi one, Zombie)
The first game I never looked like losing opening with a Laquari and 2 Chariots, so I end up recycling my Chariots via Equeste and beat him down. Game 2 was another game which I ended up winning thanks to War Chariot (What a Card!)

Round 4: Me vs Alex (Aliens)
Game 1, Alex was on top of the game but thanks to 2 Ancient Forest and a Gyzarus I rob the game, even though I didn't deserve it. Game 2, I take the game thanks to a well timed My Body As A Shield on a Offerings to the Snake Deity.

Round 5: Me vs Jason Purchase (Oppression)
Game 1, I start with a godly hand for a match against Oppression; Heavy Storm, MST, My Body As A Shield, Bestiari, Laquari, Rescue Cat. So I take the game from there. Game 2, he draws bad, only drawing one monster so I take the game.
So I wait and find I make Top 4 against Stu.
Top 4: Me vs Stu (Vayu Turbo)
Game 1 is incredibly close as I hold him back with Ancient Forest but he take it in the end. Game 2, I open with Test Tiger as my only monsters and he takes it from there.
Pros:
Getting Top 4.
Tim's Blackwing Deck, still shows Blackwing can cut it with the big boys.
Gladiator Beast War Chariot and Ancient Forest, amazing cards!
Getting some great trades including my 2nd Super Samnite.
Cons:
Pulling Jank out of my packs.

find tim craythrone near mcdonalds and he waits for me and i order food
we get to videodrome pay entry see craig there give him a couple of games in the nintendo DS on WC09 good times

shes running spellcasters i open brain allure 2 blackwhirl winds no monsters she wins the roll summons exampler adn plays secret village and ends
im stuck but i draw shura summon her run over exampler and end she draws sets monster with was apprentice and i draw a 2nd shura play 2 whirlwinds and summon 2nd shura its all down hill from there for her
game 2 was over pretty quickly i got vayu going and quite a few hits from shura

i played alex last tournament in round 2
he opens really bad and shura and icarus hurt him lots
game 2 i played more aggressively (something alien decks can't handle) and i take again

this was a enjoyable game i remember dropping DaD early game game 1

game 2 i open worst all day and lose
game 3 lasted a while to the point we were both topping i remove vayu and sirocco and special summon armed wing i attacks set book and end he draws plays mind control and i think he plays storm i chain book and he ends after attack with his bora and forgets he could flip armed wing and normal summon elphin and attack me for game i draw summon shura and it was all over

a very nice fast tempo deck i oppression him early game and icarus hurts him a bit
game 2 he goes all out early and makes stardust i shura it drop kalut and from there on it was just time poking at his life points

top swiss again Lol 4 times with blackwings i found a good deck here so chuffed blackwing have done really well

he chariots me pretty early i icarus his back row and shura him he finally kills my shura and i drop DaD
game 2 he over extends weigh to much committing to much to the field i storm his 2 back row and whirlwindx2 and shura i go gale and blackrose hes topping i draw grepher pitch sirroco to drop vayu bash for 1700 end
he draws tiger sets it ends i draw pitch another sirrocco and try to pitch vayu i find it in hand so i drop psz i swarm a bit and hes on pretty high 6000 and just scoops up
great game tits deck just needs some fine tuning and it will be a very stron deck

Lack of sleep made my morning really crap both yesterday and this morning. I turn up, nice sixteen straight off.
Round 1 - Dan T. (Morphtronics)
Gotta' say (ignoring the fact that Morphtronic Bind is EXTREMELY annoying) I loved this deck. It took a victory off me, but I go into Stardust in game 2 and then Caius in game 3 to take it.

I can't really remember what happened here except that I won 2-1 so all I'll say is "Victory over Team Tricky member".

Round 3 - Stu (Blackwings)
What? DOES NOT COMPUTE!!! DOES NOT COMPUTE!!! Game 1 he pwns me. In game 2, thats the closest I think I'll ever get to defeating Stu and if not for some dumb mistakes (Someone needs to sort out that Vayu x Oppression loop), I had a chance to take it. I will say that I enjoyed this game.

to be fair jason should be happy its very rare he beats a team tricky member so was a good result for him and hes improving greatly of late
also people brag when they beat me, stu, mike and im sure they'd agree who cares well done to them for winning i personally dont mind losing to someone if they deserve it, i wanna see the big players having to think more and well im certainly enjoying it more now as the challenge in th group is getting really good ive certainly struggled against alot of different players recently and ive seen stu certainly having to think more

i have played jason now the past 3 tournaments and his progress'd alot
he thinks more about his plays as he wants to finally beat me xD making him think more he had me in a tight situation saturday and nealy had a game of me if only he didnt recruit his mystic tomato into another tomato he would of took the game from me now he will take this lesson as "well i won't do that again"
i have been playing since 2001 2005 was when i started to learn from the far more better players some of the uk's finest jamie stafford in particular he tought me alot about this game and by watching him play to watching him make a combo move has made me more self aware on how to play the game
6 months ago i beat jamie stafford in a regional he was on 350 lp and i was topping he had jd in hand from beckoning i drew summoned lyla broke his t roar he said u can't win now i showed him i stacked honest to the top of my deck for PSZ and synchro'd for tempest magician for game
i ended up winning that regional with was kool

and yer tbf i overreacted to be fair jase its just i wasnt expecting it becuz the game before i did well ,and then i lost wasnt pleased but ahwell live and let live =]

fair enuff. like i said 2day I wasn't saying 'victory over so and so' to be cocky and brag, it was just a lapse in memory because I couldnt remember what the heck I did during our game. so no harm done
