2nd May Tournement ReportsWell It was a good turn out again. Bought myself two Stardust assault Tins before the tournament and pulled Rubbish!! Either way, got the cards I needed for the tournament and off we went.
Round 1: Me Vs Andrew
Wasn't particular sure what he was running, all I saw game two was a set monsters, but two games of SD/AM first turn was enough to win

Round 2: Me Vs Chris Harmen
He was running Dragons and pulled off some very nice combos, including over whelming me game two with lots of Red Eyes Metal Darkness'. But more Synchro fun and I got the last game.

Round 3: Me Vs Landstar (Running Empty Jar!)
This was the one deck I wasn't looking forward to playing, but the first gmae I managed to get out SD/AM and had 2 set bribes which eventually led me to a win. Game two he a CRAP hands...several books I remember him stating lol.

Round 4: Me Vs Mike
Mike was also running a stardust assault mode deck but using a zombie engine which I think worked great. Game one I just can't draw anything decnet and he has Caius to solve problems. Game two I was on the verge of winning, but I get greedy and use SD/AM on a Teleport, causing him to -2, but then he follows up with Book of Life and I'm stuck! Don't get Greedy!

Round 5: Me Vs Luke
He was running some form of Dark/Remove from play deck that was cool, but first game he mis-calculated with Promethus, causing its attack to be 200 points short and second game I just dominated with SD/AM

Top 4: Me Vs Mike (Again!)
I was going to try and not make the same mistakes I made in the swiss. Luckily I got relevetivly decent hands both games and just Rocked with SD/AM. I think even mike knew that once I got it out, he had only a few options. It was a good rematch.
Top2: Me Vs Craig
I had been watching craig duel Landstar, and not that I didn;t want Landstar to do well, but I didn't want to play his deck again and I hadn't had a good tournament match against craig for ages and was looking forward to it.
Game 1 I opened with SD/AM on my field with Bribe and 2x Reckless Set....I was goo to go! I kept him at bay with Negation and odd damage from Damage. He then makes a very cool play by getting out Stardust, BTH on my SD/AM, then chaining his Stardust to mine!! However, I followed up with Brain Control and lots of summoning and finished it. Game 2 and 3 showed me why the deck needs some work...I got terrible hands!
Well done to Craig!

game 1 i make a number of synchros throughout the game and take it game 2 he gets out a raiza i cant come back game 3 i stopped everything he did and beat him down blackwing gale

Well this was my first tournament/hobby league for 2/3 weeks, so I was geared up for this.
Decided earlier on in the week to change my deck from Pure Zombie Synchro to Zombie Monarch or Undead Ruler as I like to call it.
Round 1 I get a bye, but play Jason for fun, He had some nice moves, b ut the combo of Zombie and Caius/Raiza could'nt be stopped.

Round 2 Me Vs Mike
He told me he was running Zombies and was looking forward to a mirror match, little did I know how annoying Stardust Dragon Assault Mode is, I wish I had known earlier that I could have pulled the move I plaed against Charlie in the Final lol.
Mike Sccoped game 1 after I had control of the field.
Games 2 and 3 were mine until Mike got SDAM out, then I was done for.

Round 3 Me Vs Alex
He was running a Alien deck and a good one at that, shame for Alex my draws were awesome and after the 1st few turns I had Monarch after Monarch Plus Goyo Guardian on the field, he couldn't come back from that. Second game was much the same, except this time I could see Alex wasn't happy, as no matter what he did, I came back from it.

Round 4 Me vs Jason
Having played him earlier I knew he was playing dragons, as with the friendly mutliple zombies/synchros/monarchs take the win.

Round 5 Me vs Tim
Tim had said he wanted to play my new deck, but not in the tournament and not when he had only made his deck that day lol.
Was a good duel, 1st round he had Tricky's and Blackwings everywhere, luckily Zombie/Monarchs don't take much to get back in the game and I was soon in control thanks to a few synchros with help from Raiza/Caius.
Game 2 only went a few turns and Tim scooped, he then told me his hand was monsters, no spells or traps.

Top 4 swiss was Charlie, Landstar, Mike and Me and I was hoping I didn't get Mike after my earlier loss and I wasn't disapointed.
Semi's Me vs Landstar
I remember playing his empty jar deck at sutton earlier this year, but I had gadgets then.
1st round it went back and forth before I took it with the help of Raiza/Caius and synchros.
2nd Round he had me beat NP, multiple book of eclipse/morphing jar/needle worm, I lost by deck out.
3rd round, I wanted to win this and needed to win and I wasn't disapointed, by turn 3/4 I had sevearal monsters on the field Caius in the garve, having dicthed it with Phoenix Wing and topped Monster reborn, this meant I had Zombie Master, Caius and goblin zombie to his Defence Giant Rat and my attack mode Pyramid Turtle (had been creatue swapped earlier.
I attacked Turtle to zombie master and zombie master , attacked his rat with zombie master, thinking he would get morphing jar and he did, he forgot his other rat had already gone, I attack over MJ and direct attacked with Caius. Main phase 2 I played book of life, bringing back goblin zombie and removing his MJ. He never come back from this and I won.
Final Me Vs Charlie
Having played Mike's version of this deck earlier I feared the worst.
Game 1 went back and forth before Charlie beat me.
Game 2 both had a collosal and I also had RDA, I rammed Collosal into his Collosal, we both called My Collosal, I attacked it with RDA, he was on 3000lp with 2 other warrios in grave, I brought back collosal and attacked direct for game.
Game 3 I knew I had to get control early on and make sure He didn't get SDAM, least to say, by turn 2/3 I had control of the field and one monarch after another, several direct attacks from Caius/Raiza and I take my first victory.
Charlie and I opened our packs, 2 Jusei DP's and 2 LODT between us, we agreed before the match to split the prize, so we got 1 of each pack and winner chose which packs they had, Charlie opened first and pulled jank, I pulled crap from the DP, but got a Wulf from the LODT, so not too bad.

Getting some really good trades done, including my 2nd Raiza, thanks Charlie, super Pyramid Turtle, thanks Tim, trading a armageddon knight and a tin RDA for a super mind crush hahahaha, a solemn of ben for my tunningwarea and finally getting Dandylion for a tin cydra and super mind crush, thanks Chris (akaTits)

Team Tricky now only 3 members strong having found out that Sean has quit all together. I'm sorry to hear that and hope he changes his mind and comes back, your a good guy Sean and a good player/team member.

sounds like an awesome tourny, wish i could've been there, but my deck's not finished anyway, i've been playtesting all weekend lol
