I've been going to Jujutsu classes for over 3 years now. Jujutsu is the main Japanese martial art, taking the best aspects from all of the others (Karate, Judo, Bojutsu, Kendo, etc...), and improving on them.

I have just found out that there are classes on at the Droitwich Leisure Centre every Saturday at 1 o'clock. I'm getting to the higher grades now, and so training two times each wee will really help me to advance. Therefore, I'm wondering if anyone on this forum would like to go along with me. Jujutsu welcomes everyone, no matter what your fitness level. I mean, let's face it, i'm not exactly physically fit myself, but I'm getting pretty good.

My class in Bromsgrove is not on during August, so I would like to take the opportunity to go to some classes in August.

So, classes are at 1 o'clock and will cost £5 per session, which is an extremely reasonable price for a Martial Arts class. If you have ever thought of taking any form of Martial Arts then this is your best opportunity. Jujutsu is THE Martial Art. It is taught to the Police, the Armed Forces and everyone who takes part in the UFC, as a safety precaution. It teaches a practical knowledge of Self-Defense aswell as being an upcoming Olympic Sport (to premier at the London 2012 games).

For any more information, post here or send me a PM.

Well, for the reasons I gave. One of the biggest reasons I believe in learning self-defense is the whole thing about Knife Crime these days. Somewhat 20 teenagers have been killed as a result of Knife Crime in London since January.

However, the main reason I learn this is because of the traditional aspect of it. I am fascinated by Japanese history, and this is my way of learning about my favourite part of it. That being the life of the Samurai, and I learn the techniques that they once learned. I mean, I watch The Last Samurai, and when I see them fighting in hand-to-hand combat, I love the fact that I know exactly what techniques they're executing.

Charlie: Sent you a PM mate. I reckon there's a class on somewhere in Stratford. Tai Jutsu Kai operates across a majority of the midlands and I remember seeing a class on near you.

Well, I find that a large majority of people would be too afraid to do anything if confronted by a guy with a knife. To be honest, I thinkthat teenagers holding knives just look like complete twats. I mean, I'm watching the news and there's this clip of about 5 chavs carrying butcher knives, and shoving them down their pants. I mean, that's just plain mad. They should be taught a thing or two about how to use COMMON SENSE before they're allowed near society.

And, the techniques just look awesome Razz. Plain and simple. I learned a technique on the Friday just gone (which I can't remember the name of), which is basically called a scissor throw. You jump at your opponent and use your legs as scissors to lock their legs and bring them to the floor. If you master it it just looks SOOO cool. I was in awe of the Black Belts demonstrating it.

Stop being so ignorant! Jujutsu is Japanese, not Chinese, so your racial slur is completely misguided. You've spelled it wrong too!

Look, just because you're a racist doesn't mean that we can't have this here, so bugger off.
