well i get down to videodrome for 9.30 and luke turns up nice and early aswell so we have a chat while waiting for the others, im feeling really tired for some reason so i decide to use an unfinished blackwing deck and due to my being rather tired made alot of silly mistakes and misplays

round 1
vs matt powell (old school dark)
not much to say here ko'd him twice although was good to see his deck

round 2
vs jason (dark oppression)
well he did'nt see oppression in either game and i just swarmed

round 3
vs jaz brookes (old school dark)
well i beat his mate in round 1 and more or less the same here

round 4
vs stu watts (blackwing)
by now im starting to make stupid mistakes as andy creehan pointed as was sat next to me i lost this one 2-1

well i won pretty easily but i did play a card wrong against him but then let him off something so was evened out but i doubt he even noticed

Okay, first tournament with my Dark Recruiter Oppression deck. Pull an Armageddon Knight from Turbo Pack (wasn't at all happy with it). This may have been one of my better tournaments, except for the fact I got a gameloss for what I did last time (thanks luke for being so quick to dob me in! Rolling Eyes

) Its all good anyways, since tim took it better than he did last time and we had a laugh about it while we were playing.

So...

Round 1 - Vs. Luke Macintosh (Return Deck)

Tough game this one. He kept returning all my monsters to my hand (or extra deck in Stardust's case), but I do manage to keep it going long enough to get a win at 2-1.

Round 2 - Vs. Tim Munn (Unfinished Blackwings)

Aforementioned swearing folly aside, Tim pwned me as per usual.

Round 3 - Vs. Alex (Aliens)

Playing Aliens is an absolute joy, and makes a change from the top-liner decks floating around (or the amount of lightsworn decks that're going to be in the group due to charge of the light brigade being rereleased :/) made me think with me noggin. first game I sync up for Stardust Dragon and get game. second game I steal Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar and bring out Stardust again to clinch it.

Round 4 - Vs. Andrew Crehan (Blackwing)

This guy just battered me plain and simple.

Pros:
The Alien Deck
First tourney with Dark Recruiter Oppression. Consistent
Stardust Dragon working in my favour for once
Not drawing Stu and getting destroyed
Syncing up more than usual Smile

Selling a vayu for a tenner

Cons:
Gameloss
Only drew Royal Oppression once or twice
Armageddon Knight from Turbo Pack. It sucked

yea nice tournament

btw jason andrew was running necro control i ran blackwing

well after my last performance winning be default xD with blackwings

but i made a few changes to the deck

i was gonna run Angelic chaos but it was my birthday this week so didn't get time to build the deck anyhow

made some modifications to the deck

round 1

luke

game 1 the game started fairly slowly he gets necro in grave but decides to take hits from DCK instead ???

game 2 he drops DaD on me

game 3 he gets stardust out early with no protection i drop shura and attack dropping kalut search for the shield and set icarus he loses advantage after i end phase icarus him
i draw and normal summon bora with 1 whirl wind on field i search for gale special summon her and syncro for armour master and then drop dad it was all over from here

round 2

alex he's playing aliens

a deck i dont like well from the sheer counters its monsters gain

game 1 i open icarus and win killing the majority of his field

game 2 he wins via a goyo over my magical android and i just keep setting stuff and just scoop

game 3 he opens 2 back row and i storm he chains roar so 2 whirl wind and shura and search kalut and gale i special gale and attack he take damege and i set an icarus he draws sets 2 and end phase icruas he only 2 cards set i draw and normal summon bora and search blizzard and kalut attack with bora and syncro to get goyo out
i end with whirl wind goyo and bora with a face down call

he draws and plays a spell with drops him 4 reptiles to grave and removed them all for this 8 star monster gains 600 atk for each reptile removed can't remember the name he was scared of my face down reading a mirror force but its call and ends destroying call with his monster effect i draw summon shield and syncro for armed wing i attack his monsters 4800 atk btw and attack with armed wing dropping 2 kaluts killing his monsters armed wing on 5100 Lol hes on like 3100 and topping he draws and sets his monster i draw and summon blizzard get shura giving me 3 darks and special summon Dad and blow his card up and attack for game Great games alex nice deck

round 3

andrew crehan my best mate having known him since the age of 14 lol

game 1 he makes a small mistake and loses
game 2 he necro controls me and hits oppression and the right time
game 3 i icarus attack him hitting bottomless and i drop DCK and hit sangan and negates his effect i set bottomless and he summons thunder king i bottomless and he ends
i draw whirl wind and play it summoning shura i attack and he gorz me main phase 2 i special gale half gorz and he draws and attempts to attack shura with his gorz token of 1800 and i kalut and search the shield in defence he ends and i show him dark eruption dad and brain control and he scoops

round 4 tim munn

game 1 started of fairly slowly for both of us tim fissures my DCK Lol i dont think he drew any decent monsters he made a 1 silly mistake with did cost him the duel

game 2 he woke up abit and proceeded to own me Lol

game 3 he books my armour master and attacks with shura wait a minute.... early game i controlled his field with icarus attakc and kept bottomless his 2 shura GG though tim

i top swiss for the 2nd week running

he went on to win with was kool
